In response to the call from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and the Vietnam Fatherland Front, on September 20, 2024, the Executive Committee of Indovina Bank's Trade Union launched a fundraising campaign, inviting all union members to come together to support those in need.
After the campaign concluded, the total amount raised by IVB employees reached 156,542,000 VND, clearly reflecting the spirit of solidarity and compassion of the IVB family.
On September 25, 2024, the Trade Union Executive Committee transferred 70,000,000 VND to the Hai Phong branch's Trade Union, which was used to deliver aid directly to 17 out of 23 workers facing particularly difficult circumstances from 4 out of 5 of IVB’s client companies in heavily impacted areas such as Duong Kinh District, Kien Thuy District, and Thuy Nguyen, Hai Phong. The recipients of this support are workers whose lives have been completely disrupted by the storm, with their homes severely damaged. Many are forced to stay with others or rent accommodations due to the unrepairable state of their houses.
Among the stories shared, some are heart-wrenching. For instance, Nguyen Thi Phai, a worker at Sinjoobo Company, had her roof blown off and one wall collapsed. Her husband is unable to work due to illness, leaving her to bear the burden of supporting the family alone. Another case is of Truong Thi Hien, a worker at Sunmax Company, who lost her entire roof and, while cleaning at the company, was injured when a sheet metal roof fell on her, requiring hospitalization. Such circumstances evoke deep sympathy from all who hear them.
In light of these noble acts and meaningful support, both the companies and employees expressed profound gratitude to all IVB staff. The assistance received was not just material aid but a symbol of love and a significant source of motivation for them to overcome difficulties and gradually restore their lives.
Continuing the journey of spreading love to the community, on September 29, 2024, the Hai Phong branch's Trade Union representatives delivered an additional six gift packages to workers at Truong Binh Minh Company. These small yet heartfelt gifts were accompanied by well wishes and a belief in a brighter future.
In addition to contributions from union members, IVB's management also directly allocated funds to northern units to help stabilize operations post-typhoon. These specific and practical actions not only helped maintain morale but also provided further motivation to unite and strive to overcome challenges, quickly restoring normalcy to all operations.
