Nowadays, Indovina Bank Ltd., (IVB) is using SMS brand name to take care of our customer better as well as announce information related to customer’s online transactions. However, these days, there are criminals who make forged SMS from banks and send forged messages to defraud customer accessing to fake websites. The purpose is to steal log-in information of customer and make Internet Banking transactions to arrogate money.
To prevent this crime, IVB recommends customer to use payment channel via Internet Banking, Mobile Banking and use advanced authentic solutions such as Soft OTP, OTP Token, digital signature, fingerprint, … instead of SMS OTP.
Besides, IVB gives customer some instructions to use Internet Banking safely as following:
_ Type IVB website address directly instead of choosing the existing link. Customer just log-in only at IVB official website, which is announced by IVB and used HTTPS protocol (has a lock symbol on the browser address toolbar).
_ Restrict using public computer, public wireless when accessing to e-banking system.
_ Do not provide username and password to log-in e-banking, OTP as well as bank’s card number via phone, email, social network and website.
_ With regard to e-banking log-in password, customer needs to: set complicated password, change password regularly, do not use password autosaved feature to log-in; Do not use the same password to log-in e-banking system, e-mail and social network.
_ Comply with regulations and instructions of IVB.
_ Follow and update warnings about safe security for online payment transactions from IVB and mass medias regularly.
