GUIDELINES FOR SAFE ONLINE TRANSACTION ON IVB’S INTERNET BANKING AND MOBILE BANKING APPLICATION CHANNELS

IVB Bank Ltd. recommends to customers what to do and what not to do to conduct safe online transactions.

Customers should:
  1. Only download and log in to IVB Mobile Banking that has been confirmed on the App Store or Google Play and the official Internet Banking address (for industrial and corporate customers) on the website www.indovinabank.com.vn

2. Only log in via trusted devices. Use computers/mobile devices with anti-virus and firewall software installed and regularly updated; Regularly clear a device's web browser history (history), cache, temporary data storage (cache), and internet browser files created by websites visited by customers (cookies)…

3. Change the default password immediately after logging in to the service for the first time and change the password regularly (at least every 3 months) to ensure account security.

4. Change your service access password immediately after discovering you have clicked on suspected fake links or accidentally replying to information to a stranger calling or suspected of revealing information…

5. Service access password: Should not be the same as passwords used for other services: computer password, facebook, e-mail, zalo, viber,...; Do not use access passwords that are related to personal information such as date of birth, phone number, Citizen Identification Card,...; Use a sufficiently reliable password: the password is at least 6 characters long, has a combination of letters and numbers, contains uppercase and lowercase letters or special characters.

6. In case you do not make a transaction but still receive a notification from IVB about: OTP code; Unusual balance changes; Activate the application on another device; E-wallet link... You do not provide OTP to anyone in any form and notify IVB immediately.

7. Refuse to receive calls requesting money transfer or text messages requesting money for investigation, money transfer to prove loan, SIM upgrade support, biometric setup support... because these are calls. scam call.

Customers should not:

1. DO NOT write down your username and password on paper or automatically save it on your web browser or save it in any form to avoid information disclosure.

2. DO NOT provide e-Banking information (on access/access password/OTP password/OTP code, Soft Token PIN code...) to anyone via any channel (phone, email, internet) social, applications, links, word of mouth) …

3. DO NOT log in/declare personal information/enter OTP on strange links/websites of unknown origin, especially links in emails suspected of being fake.

4. DO NOT leave or let others use your computer, mobile device, or authentication device until you have successfully logged out of the Service.

5. DO NOT use jailbroken mobile devices to download and use the Service or OTP generation software.

6. DO NOT access the service using public computers or public wireless networks.

IVB provides instructions on how to handle suspected fraud:

  • Contact IVB immediately: Call Hotline: 1900 588 879 Or come to the nearest transaction offices, branches.
  • Proactively lock the service and change the service password on Internet Banking or IVB Mobile Banking.
  • Please report to the nearest Police Department or according to the instructions in the Crime Reporting Section on the Ministry of Public Security's electronic information portal.
